These ideas are not in any particular order. We try to work on what will help people the most.

Translations

Easy Read documents are currently only available in English. We are working on adding more languages.

We want to make Easy Read documents for everyone. No matter what language they speak.

We are starting with European languages. We are also adding common languages spoken in the UK.

Easy Read works well for translation. It uses simple words and clear pictures. This makes translating easier and faster.

Full WCAG Compliance

We care about accessibility. We want Claru to be one of the most accessible websites on the web.

We are working to make sure everyone can use Claru. This includes the website and the PDF documents we create.

You can report accessibility problems on our feedback page. We treat these reports as urgent bugs.

Supporting Materials

We know that Easy Read alone may not explain everything. Some texts and topics are very complex.

We are working on a feature to add extra pages to your Easy Read documents.

You will be able to add:

Glossaries (word lists)
Contents pages
Explanatory notes
Other helpful information

This will make your Easy Read documents easier to understand.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Support

Many people use Easy Read documents to learn English. Easy Read is a great way to learn. It gives important information in a clear and simple way.

Translation helps non-native English speakers. But we also want to support people learning English.

Learning English has many benefits:

Better job opportunities
Better access to education
Easier integration

Further Easy Read Customisation

We think our Easy Read documents work well. They follow Easy Read principles closely. But we want to give you more options.

We want to make it easier to customise your Easy Read documents. You could:

Choose from different image sets
Add your organisation's logo
Add your brand colours
Get different file types

We also know that Easy Read documents can get very long. Large text and lots of images take up space. A document might become hundreds of pages long.

We want to let you split long documents into smaller parts. This will make them easier to use.

At the moment, Claru works well for individuals. But organisations need more features.

Organisations should be able to :

Access data security information easily
Edit documents, to add custom or personal information
Buy plans, subscriptions, or credits - without paying every time they use Claru

We also want to give you user access levels, reporting, and different login choices.
